Abstract

Aims: This study aimed to investigate the effect of the 5S intervention program on the clients' satisfaction in healthcare centers' services.
Materials & Methods: This quasi-experimental study was done with 220 pregnant women at a health center in Ahvaz in 2018. The quality gap and weaknesses were measured before the 5S implementation using the adornment system (5S) checklist and SERVQUAL questionnaire. Interventions were designed and implemented concerning the system weaknesses, and the next evaluation was carried out two months after the intervention.SPSS.21 software was used for data analysis. Data were analyzed using paired t-test and descriptive statistics.
Findings: The 5S score was 2.4 before the 5S implementation and 4.2 after the intervention. The study revealed that although the average score of expectations of the Ahvaz community health center's clients is higher than their perception, the 5S implementation has decreased the gap, and in general, in the studied center, the provided service quality is still less than the center clients' expectations.
Conclusion: Implementation of 5S can improve the work environment adornment and the satisfaction of health centers' clients.

Abstract

Aims: COVID-19 has affected a worldwide population, causing more than a million deaths from the end of 2019 until now; so the aim of this study was to determine the symptoms of COVID-19 in the Iranian population through a teleconsultation-based service to better deal with it.
Instrument & Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study that included 12125 individuals calling for COVID-19 screening and consultation from 2 March 2020 to 19 April 2020 with the census method. A telephone number was assigned for consultation with more than 70 nurses responding to first-level questions and more than 30 medical doctors responding to second-level questions. For statistical analysis, a chi-squared test and univariate logistic regression with SPSS 25 were used.
Finding: Cough was the most common complaint (41.3%), followed by shortness of breath (32.8%), and fever (31.5%). Confusion was the least common complaint (1.6%). Binary logistic regression revealed that men were at a higher risk of COVID-19 compared to women (OR:1.31, 95% CI 1.10-1.55, p=0.002). In addition, older age was a risk factor for COVID-19 (OR:1.02, 95% CI 1.02-1.03, p<0.001). Also, significant positive correlations were found between fever, chills, sore throat, shortness of breath, cough, body ache, and gastrointestinal symptoms with COVID-19 even after adjustment for gender and age.
Conclusion: Fever, cough, and shortness of breath were the most common complaints in individuals calling for COVID-19 teleconsultation. It’s suggested that in times of crisis, such as the Covid-19 pandemic, remote sensing can be done to raise public awareness and break the transmission chain.

Abstract

Aims: This study aimed to explore changes in sexual life in women with genital warts.
Participants & Methods: A qualitative study was conducted in Tehran, Iran, from January 2019 to February 2020 on a purposeful sample of 14 women and 2 couples with genital warts. Data were collected through unstructured interviews and analyzed using a conventional content analysis approach.
Findings: After conducting 23 interviews with 18 participants about understanding and experiencing sexual function following genital warts, a total of 224 initial codes were extracted. The central theme obtained was: “instability in sexual function” which includes 4 main categories: "Changes in the patient and spouse desire”, “Changes in the patient and spouse arousal”, “Changes in the patient and spouse orgasm “and” dyspareunia”.
Conclusion: This study revealed the perceptions and experiences of women with genital warts about changes in their sexual life, which are often not expressed in quantitative studies. The results showed that genital warts have significant negative effects on various aspects of female sexual function. It seems that recognizing women's sexual dysfunction after getting genital warts may help health workers and women take effective and practical measures to improve their sexual function and health.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT
Aims: Epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) is an essential step in the developmental process, wound healing and cancer progression. In many cancers, EMT can increase aggressive properties including invasion, metastasis and Tumor resistance to apoptosis. Recently, miRNAs as a new class of non-coding RNAs that post-transcriptionally regulate gene expression have been demonstrated to have a crucial role in the regulation of EMT. However, the detailed mechanisms of miRNAs involvement in EMT in human cancer cells are still unclear. This study aimed to clarify this issue by using bioinformatics tools for predicting competent miRNAs target the main gens in EMT.
Materials and Methods:  To ascertain an effective miRNA for the EMT, we assessed five genes from EMT/MET as key genes. Then, to predict the most suitable miRNA: target interactions, different online databases including DIANA, TargetScan, and miRSystem were applied.
Results: Possible targeting effects of different miRNAs on candidate genes were analyzed. Merging data from databases has shown that 11 miRNAs with strong possibility communally can be involved in EMT/MET.
Conclusion: To conclude, it can be predicted that according to high interaction scores of these elected miRNAs with candidate genes in the above-mentioned databases, these miRNAs probably can have critical roles in EMT/MET. Hence, these miRNAs can be introduced as appropriate candidates for future investigations.

Abstract

Aim: This research aimed to investigate the relationship between the level of sexual health literacy and sexual function in women in rural areas.
Instrument & Methods: This cross-sectional analytical study was conducted with the participation of 200 women of reproductive age in the rural areas of Banaroye District in the south of Fars Province. The data collection tools included the fertility demographic characteristics questionnaire, the Adult Sexual Health Literacy Questionnaire (SHELA), and the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and analysis of covariance.
Findings: The average age of the women was 31.65±5.95 years. Most women (70.5%) experienced some degree of sexual dysfunction. The results of the analysis of covariance showed that the average score of sexual function of women with an insufficient level of sexual health literacy was 4.50 points lower than those who had an excellent level of sexual health literacy (p=0.020). Both scores were lower than those of women with a high level of sexual health literacy. Additionally, women with a university education obtained a higher mean score in sexual function (p=0.047).
Conclusion: Increasing awareness and education in the field of sexual health enhances individual sexual function, thereby improving couples’ relationships and increasing quality of life.

Abstract

Aims: This study aimed to investigate the effect of yoga on the sexual function and sexual quality of life of women after vaginal delivery.
Materials & Methods: This randomized controlled trial included 36 women who were 8-10 weeks postpartum, recruited from a health center in Isfahan, Iran, from January 2020 to March 2021. The women were randomly assigned to two groups with a block size of four, including the intervention group that practiced sexual yoga techniques and the control group that received information on postpartum recovery and lactation. Both groups completed the Sexual Quality of Life-Female Questionnaire and the Female Sexual Function Index before the intervention, as well as one month, two months, and three months after the intervention. Data were analyzed by R software using the independent sample t-test, analysis of variance, Friedman’s test, and the Chi-square test.
Findings: The mean total score for sexual function three months after the intervention in the intervention group showed a significant improvement compared to before the intervention (20.52±7.86 vs. 29.56±3.53, t(34, 0.975), p<0.001). Additionally, the sexual quality of life in the intervention group significantly improved after three months of intervention compared to the control group (99.94±10.62 vs. 76.83±20.23, t(34, 0.975), p<0.001).
Conclusion: Yoga practices enhance the sexual function and sexual quality of life of women following vaginal delivery.

Abstract

All actions and reflections of behavior in interpersonal and social interactions are the result of the quality of communication. The non-verbal communication channel, with its emphasis, complementary and substitution functions and ..., makes it possible to communicate more deeply with the channel of verbal communication. The book of Kelile and Demne Nasrollah Monashi, which is one of the results of ancient India and one of the most important Persian literary texts of the sixth century, has used many signs of non-verbal communication in constructing its anecdotes. The authors of this article have decoded non-verbal communication symptoms in three channels of visual cues (70 signs), phonetic cues (22 signs), and physical distance cues (12 signs) and demonstrated how Nasrallah Manashi was consciously using body language - The authors of this article have decoded non-verbal communication symptoms in three channels of visual cues (70 signs), phonetic cues (22 signs), and physical distance cues (12 signs) and demonstrated how Nasrollah Monshi was consciously using body language - Even some animal states have provided the context for increasing the storytelling capacity of their stories. The analysis has shown that body language codes in Kelile and Demne are not merely voluntary and voluntary in origin, but some of these states, like frontal states, are more hereditary and involuntary. In addition, it was shown in this decoding that the use of nonverbal cues in the book of Kelile and Demne not only revealed the moods and emotions of the characters, but also as an important element leading to some major events in the anecdotes.
